Round Rock Supports Backpack Coalition Spring Break Kit Build
The Rotary Club of Round Rock was proud to volunteer & support a Community-wide effort to fill backpacks for students to have food over the Spring Break Holiday. In 1.5 hours 1500 backpacks were filled with 11 tons of food by volunteers from the Round Rock Community. Great to see our community in action and to represent Rotary as People of Action!
Wheelchair Ramp Build
On Saturday, March 14, the Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest in collaboration with South Austin Rotary under the supervision of the Texas Ramp Project completed a sturdy wheel chair ramp for a family in need. Help came from lots of folks: newer & seasoned Rotarians..gratifying!
Summer Reading Program
The students at Pecan Springs Austin in K-2nd came to library to dress up in career costumes and talk about what they want to be when they grow up. BookSpring took a picture of each child in their career outfit and printed them.  The kids decorated a frame for the pictures to go on with a letter to their parents about ten books they will get to take home in May for summer reading. This program was funded by Austin University Area Rotary.

Rockdale Proud Supporter of EAFK
The Rockdale Rotary Club is proud to support and contribute to The Early Act First Knights at our Rockdale Intermediate Campus every year.  The character building program has been embraced by our campus administration and has been proven to be very effective. This program doesn’t just prove to be positive and effective with our 3rd – 5th graders but it also effects their parent, grandparents, siblings and anyone the students have contact with.
Marble Falls And Interact
The Rotary Club of Marble supports the youth in the community by mentoring two Interact Clubs.  Each of the Interact clubs provide lunch for our club once each year as a fundraiser.
Truth In Between Connects Students and Elder Rotarians in Handwritten Letters
School systems across the nation scramble to find virtual learning solutions as the Coronavirus spreads, and those in nursing homes and assisted living facilities become more isolated as their regular family visits are canceled. The pandemic separates us, but letters can span the distance, both easing isolation and unfolding new learning experiences. Connecting students to elder Rotarians through handwritten letters provides students with new opportunities to expand their creative writing skills, while also learning a little bit of history from their pen-pals.
