As my tenure as Governor of our amazing Rotary District concludes this June, I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunity to experience "The Magic of Rotary" firsthand. This theme truly encapsulates the transformative power of our collective efforts and the profound impact we have made in communities near and far.

The catastrophic failure of a water treatment plant in Marlin, Texas led to the unthinkable once again. No water! Absolutely not a drop to drink for this community of 5,460. No water for drinking, cooking, bathing, cleaning.

A great turnout from the Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest for a Saturday morning of closet cleaning at Common Ground ATX. This place offers affordable housing to those who can’t qualify elsewhere (recently out of prison or coming in off the streets).
The Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary Club annual Rise Against Hunger Event was a great success. Fifty-five Rotarians, friends and family members worked together to package ready to cook meals on May 8. Rotary also presented a check for $4500 to Rise Against Hunger.
In May, members of the South Austin Rotary Club rolled up their sleeves for a meaningful day of service at the Central Texas Food Bank. The workday was not only productive but also a great opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers who share a passion for giving back to the community.
The Rotary Club of Austin provided $30,000 of funding and provided the labor to build a new Tiny House at the Community First Village in Austin. This house will proved a much needed opportunity to help a homeless person's recovery by giving them the security of home and responsibly to become a contributor to the community. Homeless are a major issue in Austin, and The Rotary Club of Austin is doing their part to help these people of need.
Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary proudly presented a total of $30,000 in scholarships to nine deserving Lake Travis High School students.Sixty people attended the Rotary luncheon on May 8 awarding the scholarships. Th students were honored again at the subsequent Lake Travis High School scholarship assembly.
Fun was had by ALL who participated in the first annual 0.5K Race - From the Recliner to the Couch hosted by the Marble Falls Rotary Club on May 17th, 2025 in historic Downtown Marble Falls! Friendships were made, beer was sloshed and sipped, wine was tipped, and of course super duper Bloody Mary's and Jello Shots had the participants wanting MORE! More what you ask? More fun with NO RUNNING ALLOWED! Thanks to all who made this possible and can't wait for next year's race!
Each year, the Rotary Club of Austin transforms high school juniors into visionary entrepreneurs through its signature program, Rotary Camp Enterprise. In just three days, students go from knowing little about business to delivering Shark Tank-style pitches — and for many, it’s just the beginning.
The Rotary Club of Caldwell is hosting the 24th Annual Law Enforcement Banquet on Friday, June 20th, 2025. Scheduled to be held at the Caldwell Civic Center and will include recognition of the four law enforcement agencies in Burleson County, the banquet is seeks to show appreciation of the sacrifices that our law enforcement officers make.

Bastrop Rotary supports many community organizations, but one which makes us feel especially good is Bastrop’s Honor Choir. The Club recently donated funds to help the Choir achieve its annual enrichment experience this year.
The Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary held our annual Adoption Awareness Event at the Lakeway Church. Over 20 Rotarians and family members, as well as 4 Interact members, pitched in to make this a great event.
May 20, 2025 our Global Grant of an Oxygen Refilling Station was dedicated in rural Liberia. E Club partnered with Rotary Club of Sinkor, Liberia, District 5870, many district clubs and Rotary International come to reality.
