On January 20, 2023, we invite you to join us for the District 5870 Central Texas Foundation Gala featuring our esteemed guest speaker, Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo, Rotary International President Nominee. Our event will be held at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $100 each. Major Donors will receive a special invitation and registration link.
Grants Management Training - January 13th

TSTC Food Pantry Gets Boost From Waco Sunrise Rotary
When seeking how best to partner with Texas State Technical College, Waco Sunrise Rotary Club asked them what they needed most.  Scholarships?  Other student programs?  The answer was:  The College Food Pantry.  
Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Awareness
Members of The Rotary Club of Austin were joined by DG Bob and other Rotarian's in the Out of the Darkness suicide prevention walk at the Capitol.
Caldwell Polio Survivor Speaks at October Meeting
In recognition of World Polio Day, Caldwell Rotary invited a dear friend to us all, Mrs. Betty Suehs, a polio survivor, to speak at a meeting during October . She shared her memories and what her mother and father had to do during her sickness . She spent 12 days in an iron lung We were all moved by her story!
Out of The Darkness Walk
The Rotary Club of Waco partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at the Out of Darkness walk at Brazos Park East in Waco on Sept. 30th to help bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention.

McGregor Honors Veterans
The McGregor Rotary Club was privileged to once again honor veterans at their Annual Veterans Luncheon on November 8th. Their speaker for the event was Richard Seitz the Race Director for Trek for Troops. 
Rotary Peace Centers Impact
Hands For Hope at El Buen
Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest was excited to help El Buen Samaritano “Hands for Hope”Thanksgiving food distribution again. The holiday meal distribution event was held on Saturday, November 18th. 1,000 families in our community were given a holiday meal kit containing a frozen turkey, sides, and a pie for them to prepare with their families at home. 
Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary Presents New Minivan to AIM Group
On Sunday, November 26, the Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis presented a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring Edition minivan to Adults Independent and Motivated (AIM), which will use the vehicle to transport adults with disabilities who are part of its program to work and other activities. 
Annual Food Drive
The Killeen Heights Rotary Food Drive, held on November 17th, culminated in resounding success, echoing the community's generosity and compassion. Participants rallied, resulting in a remarkable achievement— an impressive $5,000 alongside numerous food donations. 
Pocket Prairie Project @ Sunshine Community Gardens
On Saturday, November 11, ten ACRC club members and several guests joined us at Sunshine Community Gardens for our Pocket Prairie project. We dug up turf grass near the entrance to the garden and laid the groundwork for beds of native wildflowers and other pollinator-friendly plant species. 
Round Rock's Inaugural The BBQ Thing
The Rotary Club of Round Rock presented $30,000 in donations to the Round Rock Chamber, Backpack Friends, Agape Pregnancy Resource Center, Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation, YMCA of Central Texas and Kyle’s Challenge from the proceeds raised during the 1st Annual The BBQ Thing.
