The Rotary Club of Austin’s May 1st Book Club gathering took a unique and meaningful turn as members were invited to bring a book that had deeply impacted their lives. Instead of discussing one shared title, each person shared the story behind their chosen book—what it meant to them, why it stayed with them, and how it shaped their perspective or journey.
The evening became far more than a conversation about books. Through these personal stories, members connected with one another in a deeper and more genuine way that likely would not have happened in any other setting. It was a powerful reminder that sometimes the best part of Book Club is not just discovering new books—but discovering more about each other.
