"Members of the Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary club - Terry Foor, Laura Liem, Bernard Williams, Patrick Hanrahan and Chris Burrows volunteered on June 17th at the “Neighborhood Volunteer Event: Cleanup Govalle Park and Boggy Creek!” with Austin Parks Foundation.
Our members collaborated with other local volunteers and helped with the park clean up. This East Austin parkland was accumulating a great amount of waste that contributed to not only waste pile up but also blocking the path for Boggy Creek by the park. The clean up activity helped bring back life to the Govalle park and this will attract more visitors to enjoy the beauty that the park has to offer. Robin Lee from the Austin Park foundation thanked our members for their selfless work on a hot summer afternoon and shared a few wonderful moments of Rotarians at work. "
