One of the most inspirational facets of the District 5870 District Conference each spring is the Celebration of Life Service on Sunday morning (May 6 this year) to remember those Rotarians in our district who have passed away during the current Rotary year (since July 1, 2017). A short synopsis of their Rotary life is read, a bell is sounded, then a yellow rose is presented to a member(s) of their club in attendance.
If someone in your club has passed away during this Rotary year, and you would like to have them honored at this solemn ceremony, please forward the following information electronically, by Monday, March 26, to Pastor Kent Bohls, Necrology Chair (kentbohls@gmail.com)
