On March 28th, in honor of Service Texas Day, the Rotary Club of Georgetown partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to make a meaningful impact right in our own community. Under the leadership of Rotarian Ed Petrere, four dedicated teams of volunteers set out across Georgetown with a shared mission: to ensure that no child sleeps on the floor.

Throughout the day, Rotarians worked together to deliver and assemble beds for local children in need, transforming empty spaces into places of comfort and security.

Each bed was thoughtfully prepared and dressed with children’s linens, creating not just a place to sleep, but a space that felt truly their own. The highlight of the day was seeing the joy on the children’s faces. Their excitement and gratitude served as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Thanks to the leadership of Ed Petrere and the efforts of our four volunteer teams, several children in Georgetown will now rest easier at night!
