The Rotary Club of Austin awarded 21 college & vocational scholarships to very smart and well deserving seniors from high school in and around Austin to a total of $80,000. The students’ stories were shared today at our Rotary Scholarship event and many of them will be the first member of their family to receive a college education.
Hearing what these students have already accomplished before graduating from high school warmed our hearts that there is great hope for a future of self motivated, brave, smart and caring leaders who are just getting started to make their mark on the world! Many of these students will graduate from high school already earning an associate degree and several of them already have their own businesses besides working several jobs and serving in honorary and service oriented clubs while going to school.
