The Killeen Heights Rotary Club is helping create a lasting reminder of peace and community connection in Gatesville with the installation of a Peace Pole and a new bench in an open area behind Gatesville ISD Intermediate School.
The project was completed for the City of Gatesville, creating a welcoming space where students, families and community members can pause, reflect and enjoy the outdoors. The Peace Pole serves as a visible symbol of Rotary’s commitment to peace and understanding, while the bench provides a place for people to sit, gather and reflect.
A Rotary marker was also placed with the bench, recognizing the club’s contribution and its commitment to making a positive difference in the Gatesville community.
Through projects like this, Killeen Heights Rotary demonstrates that service can take many forms. Sometimes, making an impact means creating a space that brings people together, inspires peace and leaves a lasting legacy for the community.
