Each year Northwest Austin Rotary Club partners with Hill Country Community Ministries for their annual Coat & Blanket Drive. Last year was our first time making tie blankets to donate to their Drive.
This year we dedicated the program for the tie blanket "party". Each table received a blanket kit and as they tied they visited, told stories, and got to know one another a little more. The feedback was great: that we were able to visit and that there was no sewing involved. We dropped off the blankets and coats at HCCM for distribution for those in need. As HCCM states "Your contributions will provide much-needed warmth and comfort to those in need during the coldest months. It’s a small way to make a big impact!"
