The Rotary Club of Austin sponsors an entrepreneur camp for junior high school students in Austin. During the three day weekend students from different high schools are put into teams and have to design a business plan for a product they create. They then present it to the Rotary members who help them finalize the parts of their business plan.
At the end of the weekend each team presents their plan to a panel of judges and the winning team is selected. The winning team came to the Rotary Club of Austin meeting and presented their winning presentation to our members. A valuable learning experience for all those juniors. And the students and participating Rotary members get to hear from Austin entrepreneurs and how they created their successful company. Way to go Rotary. Hope for our future leaders.
