The 27th annual charity golf tournament of the Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest will be held on Friday, April 24 with a 1:00pm shotgun start. For the last 26 years, our Club has partnered with Roger Beasley Mazda of Austin as the Title Sponsor.
We are excited that this year the tournament will be at a new venue: Grey Rock Golf Club in southwest Austin. This lovely venue ironically was the site of one of our first golf tournaments 20 years ago and it has really been upgraded since that time! Lovely new Clubhouse and renewal of the fairways and greens.
This is our only fundraiser and with it we fund multiple vocational scholarships at ACC, support of the Food Bank at El Buen Samaritano, ramp builds through Texas Ramp Project, disaster relief funding, our environmental project, “New Home for Styrofoam”, local elementary schools book fair with accounts for kids who cannot afford books, Polio Plus, an international project in Rosarita, Mexico and other community related service projects.
This event is “all hands-on deck” for our Club of 24 members and we are working diligently to bring in Sponsors at multiple financial levels ranging from $250 Hole Sponsorship to Championship Sponsors at $5000. Golfers can play for $150 each, which is a bargain! Lunch, light dinner and drink tickets are provided along with cash prizes, golf prizes for winning foursomes, raffle tickets for exciting drawing prizes and Silent Auction items. Sponsorships are a great way to market your business while writing off the fee as a “marketing expense.”
