Waco Sunrise Rotary Club packed thousands of wildflower seed packets and rolled hundreds of information scrolls about the Monarch butterfly to be handed out by Asst. District Governor Margaret Ferguson at the 8th Annual Rotary Xperience held in Dallas, this April.
The Rotary Xperience is the largest Rotary Environmental Sustainability Convention in the world, whose keynote speaker was Past RI President Barry Rassin, and was organized by Green Chamber of Commerce leader and Rotarian, Steve Bender. This growing event features Rotarians, Interactors, and Rotaractors from around the world displaying environmentally friendly projects and promoting events in their countries and states. Margaret, a member of the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group, actively speaks at Rotary and garden clubs around the US about saving the Monarch butterfly and other pollinators.
