Hosted by the Rotary Club of Georgetown (TX) Foundation, the Field of Honor® is an emotion-filled display that is something you not only see but you feel. Walk among the 1,600+ majestic waving full-size, 3′ x 5′ US flags that honor past and present military, first responders, K9, and Equestrian heroes. 
In its 6th year, this impactful signature event will be held at San Gabriel Park from November 5 to November 12. The Field of Honor® is FREE to visit and it is open 24/7, throughout the week of the event.
 
Purchase and dedicate flags to your veterans and first responders online now or at the field! Flag sales proceeds benefit veteran and first responder organizations that address PTSD, suicide prevention, and family support. Flags are only $45 each including the personalized dedication tag.
 
This year, the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 “Never Forget” Mobile Exhibit will be provided. Four FDNY firefighters that were eyewitnesses to the tragic events will provide tours of the 1,100 square foot exhibit all week. You are invited to be at the field on November 5 at 9:30 a.m. to cheer them on as they arrive, escorted by police, fire, and the Patriot Guard Riders.
 
Attend the Opening Ceremonies on November 6 at 1:30 p.m., complete with the Parade of Colors, a special keynote speaker, music by the 36th Infantry Band of the Texas National Guard, flyovers by the Devil Dog and the Falcon Flight Team. Visit the static displays of military tanks, fire engine, a SWAT vehicle, K-9 demonstrations, and more, that will add to the majesty of the day’s events from 10:00 to 4:00.
 
Plan to enjoy the music, performances, and emotional keynote address by Lt. General James Huggins (ret) during the Veterans Day ceremony on November 11 beginning at 10:45 a.m.
 
A Veteran Art exhibit, Quilt of Valor ceremonies, the “Dear Hero Station,” student field trips, and other exciting events will take place throughout the week. Purchase your tickets to attend the fabulous Patriots Celebration BBQ on 11/11 where the Rotary Club of Georgetown’s Patriot of the Year Award will be presented. Enjoy great food, music, dancing, silent auction, and family fun against the backdrop of the lighted flags.
 
The Mission of the Field of Honor® is to HONOR and BENEFIT past and present military, first responders, and their families, to INSPIRE patriotism and pride in our flag and its heritage, to EDUCATE youth that visit during school field trips, and to UNIFY our communities in peacefully and respectfully honoring our flag, our country, and those who defend us.
