Here is a list of potential service projects that can be done during the Covid-19 pandemic:
- Join the CAR PARADE at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center every Monday night, at 6:30PM. Your support is needed to cheer on medical workers and patients! https://www.facebook.com/StDavidsparade/
- Rotary Club of Temple-South is collecting essential supplies like cleaning supplies, diapers and paper towels/toilet tissue for Families in Crisis. If you would like to donate, please take to Fast Signs/Papergraphics on 31st Street and drop in the box outside.
- Volunteer at SENIOR ACCESS - need financial support and volunteers to shop for seniors
- Service for a fellow Rotarian - who is quarantined and needs help with meals/groceries & pharmacy. Check your members.
- Stocking clothes closets or food pantries
- Distribution from the same entities
- Shopping for neighbors or friends
- Church or other programs helping seniors or those subject to virus
- Delivering food, medicine, etc to nursing homes, senior centers
- Write a note to thank your local nurses, and healthcare workers
- Writing cards to seniors that can’t be visited by others, those in hospitals, those in nursing homes
- Buying gift cards from restaurants to distribute to the needy or to be used later
- Check with schools for delivering meals to students if there is such a program or packing meals at a specific location
- Reading books for children or others to post on social media or school sites
- How to help our grocery, hospital, first responders, etc Bring them lunch, etc
