Historic rains have brought devastating floods to Central Texas, displacing families, destroying homes, and upending lives. While some Rotary clubs in our District were spared, others were hit hard—and the need for help is urgent.

Rotary District 5870 is stepping up to Create Hope and Rebuild Lives. This is our time to take action—to lead with compassion, respond with generosity, and serve with purpose.

We’re considering organizing a small group trip to Southern California during the Christmas holidays to help decorate the Rotary Rose Parade Float—a hands-on experience that brings Rotary’s message to life in front of millions! Join us for a Live Zoom Q&A to learn more:

Starting on Friday, August 1 and running through 5 pm on Friday, October 31 District 5870 will match your contribution to the Annual Fund as follows:
 
Using Rotary Foundation Recognition Points, we will match your $250 to $500 cash contribution to the Annual Fund-SHARE on a 1-to-1 basis for any active Rotarian or Rotaractor in District 5870 who is not yet a Paul Harris Fellow +8. 
 
Rotarian Robert Lindsey was aboard Austin’s Honor Flight returned from Washington, DC earlier in June. This 98th Austin Flight carried 47 veterans on a trip to the nation’s Capital, where they visited Arlington Cemetery, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, plus other revered locations.
