Hunger Project

As a District, we want to do our part to help fight Hunger and we have allocated $10,000 to support such an effort.  We have developed a partnership with the Central Texas Food Bank to help provide food to the needy areas of our District.
Empowering Girls & Women Project
District 5870 and local Days for Girls chapters in Cedar Park, Georgetown and Belton are partnering to make the Gift of Literacy and an Education possible to girls and women around the world.
Navajo Water Project
The Navajo Water Project Phase 3 sought funding to install running home water systems in approximately 55 homes of native Navajo’s residing in rural areas of the Dilkon Chapter Arizona. Goal achieved!
News Around The District
The District 5870 Central Texas "End Human Trafficking Campaign" will be hosting the Global Connections International Human Trafficking Trailer for 10 days throughout our district as we bring AWARENESS to human trafficking to the forefront. The Global Connections International mobile education experience provides human trafficking awarenesss and prevention information. The campaign will kick-off at the Foundation Gala on January 29 at the Sherton Austin-Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center. South Austin Rotary supports a soup kitchen at a 170 bed transitional housing facility in southeast Austin. Christmas day there saw a big splurge meal for more than 100 residents and some folks living in some nearby homeless camps.
